Summer Time Fun

These are some pictures we took down at the park. It was probably July, so the kids have gotten even bigger. As you can see by the picture below, they really enjoy each other. It's never a fight to get the two of them together for a picture.

Kendrick and Amaiya playing in the pool she got for her birthday. They LOVE water! I think they would have lived in the water this summer if I had let them.

New Bloggers!

Ok, I've never done this before, but I keep getting more and more friends that keep in touch this way, and I just got to see my baby cousin in Texas on their blog. By the way Sara and Jonathon, he is a doll!! Anyway, this is new for me and may not go according to plan during volleyball season, but I'll try and get on here at least once a week to update everyone on the family.

Kendrick just started preschool a couple of weeks ago. He seems to really enjoy it. For those that knew him before preschool and now, it is VERY apparent that he has come out of his shell. The quiet, little shy Kendrick is a thing of the past. He is a man on a mission! He was always like this at home, but in public he was pretty shy and reserved. It's so fun to watch him. He also gets to come to Mommy's volleyball practices everyday. I love this time with him. He's off playing with a friend, but it's nice to just look across the court and see his adorable little smile.

Amaiya is off and running now! It took a while and at times we wondered if she had just given up on walking, but finally she decided it was time and there is no stopping her now. She's becoming bigger and more independent by the day. Her and Kendrick have such different personalities, but they mix so well together. Kendrick immediately took on the big-brother role and Amaiya adores his every move. Every one-year old seems to love each new thing they come in contact with, but our little munchkin loves dogs and well, don't tell Dad, but SHOES! What a woman!

Shannon and I have been adjusting to school starting again. It's always hard to get back into the swing of things and immediately start volleyball season too. This year will hopefully be less strenuous since I finished school over the summer. Yeah!!! Shannon is actually working on a grant so he can come into my classroom and we can team teach students on water quality. I'm pretty excited. We, really Shannon, have been working on landscaping the front of the house. It looks so much better. Well, my little one just came in and she loves to push on keys so I'm going to sign off. I'll post some picture once I download them. Take care and God bless!

That says "Love, Amaiya" in a special language only she understands.
